California Drivers Ed for Teens

Parents can choose to teach their their kids driver education by showing them how to drive in the state of Florida. There a number of rules that apply to this exception however. For instance, like every other state, there is a minimum of hours that need to be spent behind the wheel with your parent in order for you to complete the driver education process. This is a great advantage for those kids who can not attend a formal driver education course because of where they live or because of some other difficult reason. This problem can be completely eliminated when the parent opts to teach their teen driver education.

In the state of Florida, every first time driver must complete the DATA course. DATA stand for drug, alcohol, traffic, awareness. This is a four hour long Florida drivers ed course which must be state approved and goes over basic information about things such as drugs, alcohol, and traffic safety and regulations. This course can be taken online as well as the learner’s permit preparatory course. Once you have completed these, you can then take the written exam in order to obtain your learner’s permit.

Several students do not pass the written test the first time, so it is recommended that both the parent and the teen go over these courses together. As a parent, you can help assist your child in any areas where they maybe having difficulty with. By going over this together and online, you can work at your pace and on your own schedule. This way nobody feels rushed and the teen can fully comprehend the curriculum. By the time the teen takes the written test, they should pass it the first time with ease. In addition, the parent can be involved in the whole process of their child learning how to drive.
